Intro to Colorwork and Steeking - The Nordic Bloom Vest by Caitlin Hunter

Caitlin Hunter’s floral colorwork vest is a beautiful and approachable introduction to both colorwork and steeking. With its striking motifs and manageable construction, this project allows knitters to practice working with multiple colors while learning the fundamentals of steeks in a supportive, step-by-step setting. The result is a wearable, modern piece—and the confidence to explore more adventurous colorwork projects in the future.
Students will learn basic colorwork techniques, and after completing the body of the vest, will learn to steek the opening in front. Simple finishing of armhole buttonhole cuffs complete the project.
