Intermediate Amigirumi: Crocheted Reindeer Workshop
This class is perfect for both confident (adult) beginners and experienced crocheters looking for a fun and festive project. If you’re comfortable with the basic stitches and eager to expand your skills, you’ll feel right at home here!
Using the Bianca Santos book "Crochet Amigurumi for the Holidays" as a guide and resource, we’ll create an adorable crocheted reindeer — from nose to tail! Along the way, you’ll learn techniques that can be applied to all kinds of amigurumi (crocheted stuffed toys) and other seasonal decorations. We’ll cover shaping, assembly, and finishing details to bring your reindeer’s personality to life.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a completed reindeer ornament, new crochet techniques under your belt, and the confidence to make more handmade holiday friends on your own!

| Skill Details: | Students must be able to create a magic chain or magic circle, and be comfortable with the chain stitch, slip stitch, and single crochet stitch. If you have any questions about your readiness, please don’t hesitate to contact the instructor before the first session. Students will be required to complete 'homework' between each class session in order to finish this project and learn all techniques and skills taught. |
| Materials Included: | The book "Crochet Amigirumi for the Holidays", by Bianca Santos, along with eyes, nose, and stuffing will be supplied |
| Requirements: | -Yarn – Fingering, Sport, or DK weight cotton yarn. I used Lang Oceana with a 3.0 mm crochet hook. Suggested colors: brown, dark brown, white, and green Knits and Pieces of Annapolis (www.knitsandpiecesofannapolis.com) has a good selection of yarns -Crochet hooks in sizes: 1.75mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, or 3.00 depending upon your yarn weight and gauge -Removable stitch markers -Scissors -Needles – Tapestry and Sharp embroidery -Scissors -Paper, pen, or pencil to take notes |
