Basic Sweater Knitting - the "Super Simple Summer Sweater"
Joji Locatelli’s “Super Simple Summer Sweater” gives an updated look to the basic top down sweater. It’s a great option for the beginner knitter looking to make the leap into garment knitting! In this class, students will learn:
-swatching in the round and gauge assessment
-size selection
-the Old Norwegian cast on method
-short row shaping
-invisible jogs for stripes
(This class is intended for adult students, age 18+)

| Skill Details: | Students should be comfortable with the knit and purl stitch and understand the concept of knitting in the round. Please note: There will be 'homework' assigned for classes 2-4. Students will need to complete their assignments prior to each consecutive class. |
| Materials Included: | A copy of the pattern "Super Simple Summer Sweater" is included in the cost of the class. It will be downloaded into each student's Ravelry account, and a paper copy will be provided at class. |
| Requirements: | -worsted weight yarn in one or two colors, in the amount(s) listed by the pattern for the student's selected size -circular knitting needles in US sizes 3 and 6, or what is needed for gauge, in varied lengths -stitch markers |
