Crochet 201: A Beginner Hat



Join instructor Tina Alexander for a 'Crochet 201' class: the Simple Seed Stitch Hat designed by Kirsten Holloway. If you've mastered the basics, then you're ready to leap into the new stitches in this sampler-style hat - beginning with a magic loop technique at the top of the hat, and then working your way down with seed stitch, learning to increase, and creating a ribbing using front and back post single crochet techniques.

This two-session class is designed for adult students (18+), will include a hard copy of the pattern, as well as one added to each student's Ravelry library.  


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Students must be comfortable with the crochet stitches of chaining, slipping, and single and double crochet. In order to experience all the skills taught in this class, students will be assigned 'homework' that must be completed prior to each class.
Materials Included: The pattern will be downloaded into each student's Ravelry account, and a hard copy provided in class.
Requirements: Materials required include: -200 yards of Aran or Bulky weight yarn (purchased at Knits and Pieces) -crochet hook US I (5.5mm) - or one that meets gauge -stitch markers that open/close
