Intermediate Granny Squares

In this two-session class we will make we will make up to three different granny
square patterns with increasing difficulty.

This class is for the confident beginner and experienced crocheter. Students must be comfortable with the following crochet skills:  chain, slip, single, half and double stitches, and the magic circle/ring. There will be an optional one-hour refresher class to practice rusty crochet skills offered before the first class that requires separate registration for a small fee.

We will be using A Modern Guide to Granny Squares by Celine Semaan and Leonie
Morgan. The book is for sale at Knits and Pieces along with the supplies needed for this class.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Students must be competent in the following stitches: -Chain Stitch -Slip Stitch -Single Crochet -Half-double Crochet -Double Crochet
Materials Included: Embellishment bits (eyes, for example)
Requirements: Book: Modern Guide to Granny Squares (Available at Knits and Pieces) Yarn: Up to 7 colors of DK or Worsted Crochet Hooks in sizes 3.5mm and 4mm Removable stitch markers Scissors Scrap yarn for embellishment Needles - both tapestry and sewing (sharp point) Writing materials for note-taking
