Second Saturday Skills - Swatching

Have you ever knit a garment that DNF (did not fit)?  Are you a knitter who is wondering what all the fuss is about gauges and swatches? Come join Melissa Murphy and learn about your own unique tension tendencies. She’ll review tips and tricks for knitting swatches flat as well as teach you how to speed swatch in the round. You’ll learn how to measure your swatches and how the gauge impacts your garment knitting.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and read your stitches.
Requirements: Supplies Needed: ? Waste yarn in a DK or Worsted Weight ? 24? circular need in size appropriate for waste yarn ? Gauge ruler Necessary Pre-work before the first class: ? Cast on 25 stitches ? Work in stockinette stitch for 4 inches
